Charity of the Year - Norwich Foodbank

‘Between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2019, the Trussell Trust’s food bank network distributed 1.6 million three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis, a 19% increase on the previous year. More than half a million of these went to children.’ Source - the Trussell Trust.

Being a Norwich based office, David Pett, Director at MJP Conveyancing was keen to support a local charity by donating food boxes and fundraising.

We spoke to Hannah from the Norwich Food Bank, our Charity of 2019, to find out more. Read the full interview here

MJP Conveyancing Welcome New Starters to the Legal & Management Teams.

David Pett, Director commented, ‘We are a young and expanding business and to continue the success we enjoy in a very competitive market it is essential for us to continue to bring in new blood. It remains my belief that it will be those who are beginning their career in law who will eventually bring about the change in attitude towards the use of technology that is desperately needed and indeed demanded by clients. Success is not based solely on formal qualifications, its more about having adaptable staff who can buy into the philosophy of the business and can continue with the efforts to break down and modify the traditional ways that currently stifle the technological revolution that is happening within conveyancing. We asked Sophie Gent, Paralegal in the Purchase Team what it is like to work at MJP Conveyancing:
‘What attracted me to the role was that everything is online and customer service is very important. I like working here because the atmosphere is relaxed and everyone is very friendly; knowing I can talk to anyone about anything is a huge bonus. The in-depth training on the conveyancing process I have received since joining has proven invaluable also.’

MJP Conveyancing is thrilled to have been shortlisted for the ‘Best Use of Technology’ & ‘Conveyancing Firm of the Year, Midlands’ categories at the Modern Law Conveyancing Awards.

The ceremony, which takes place at the prestigious Rum Warehouse in Liverpool on 18th July is in it’s sixth year, with MJP scooping up two wins in 2017 & 18 and hoping to add to this.
The nominations are testament to the outstanding efforts of our IT department, striving to stay ahead of the curve, and that of the team at large who helped over 3126 clients move home in 2018.
