COVID FAQ UPDATE

Will I complete in time to benefit from the SDLT holiday?

We shall do all we can to make sure you complete before the end of March.

Due to capacity issues within the industry mainly with search and mortgage companies we are not able however to provide a guarantee.

There is still a possibility Government will extend the ‘holiday’. If this happens we will let you know.

Will you be able to open during lockdown?

Yes.

The Government says people can still move home providing the standard Covid guidelines are followed.

Its very much business as usual

Are you still able to order searches?

Yes.

Though there are widespread delays with the delivery of results. Depending on your lender requirements there is a possibility of taking out insurance in place of searches. We will be happy to provide you with further details on this option.

How can I verify my ID during Lockdown?

This is not a problem

We offer an online service and can look to verify identification using an easy to use app provided by out third party partner Thirdfort.

I have yet to receive my mortgage offer. Will this cause a delay?

Possibly

There are widespread delays within the mortgage industry. This has caused delay. It very much depends on which lender you are using. We shall provide support where necessary to make sure any possible delay is identified early and addressed.

Will exchange of contracts and my move in date be delayed?

Possibly for the reasons identified above. We shall make sure however that we do not contribute to any delay that might arise due to matters beyond our immediate control.

How can I avoid Covid interfering with my plans?

We can look to add to the contract a clause that will allow you to move the move in date if a Covid issue arises. We can advise you of your options if this is protection you would like to procure.
